easy microbiome test
Elsavie provides an easy microbiome test that gives you a full overview of what’s going on in your gut. With this knowledge, you can adjust your diet to improve your health.
specialized fiber supplements
Elsavie helps you with dietary information as well as fiber supplements to keep you on plan every day, even when you’re in a hurry.
you are what you eat
More than that, you are what your gut bacteria eats, because although you are made up of trillions of cells, your body is host to an equal number of bacteria cells. Many of these live in your digestive system and help you get the most out of the food you eat.
how does it work?
Order the test kit for a high quality sample.
Send it for microbial DNA sequencing in our lab.
who should take the test?
Obviously, if you’re curious about what’s going on inside your gut, then this test will tell you.
But if you’re:
- on a special diet
- about to start, or have finished an antibiotic treatment
- experiencing discomfort
what do you find out?
The test clarifies:
- What kind of bacteria are found in your intestines.
- If you have probiotic bacteria.
- If your bacterial community suggests inflammation.
- If you need to change your diet.
- How supplements impact your microbiota.
- If you consume enough fiber.
- If you consume the right type of fiber.
- If you consume too much fat and protein.
Science has come a long way since mom told you to eat up your vegetables. Changes in the composition of your gut microbiota are associated with a variety of autoimmune conditions (eg. allergies, asthma) obesity, gastrointestinal diseases (eg. irritable bowel syndrome), cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and the list goes on.
Today we know that your gut microbiota plays an important role in influencing your health and well-being. Each bacterial species has its own functions and, accordingly, can be conditionally divided into useful and harmful bacteria, depending on their proportions.
Gut microbiota can vary over time. Your age, lifestyle, medications, disease and diet influence its composition. What and how much you eat is especially important, as it can support the useful and suppress the harmful bacteria, thus reducing discomfort and improving your quality of life.
For microbial bacteria undigested food is their feast, especially fiber. Each bacteria has a favorite flavor and your job is to feed them with the fiber that makes them happy. And will make you happy too.
Elsavie provides an analysis of your submitted stool sample of 16S rDNA. This is provided as a food, industry, environment and intestinal tract sample analysis. It is based on the separation and sequencing of bacterial DNA and is characterized by the relative concentrations of the bacteria in your sample.
In the final report, the distribution of the bacteria is recorded with a brief summary of the characteristics of the sample in comparison to bacterial gastrointestinal statistical data. An expert opinion of how to knowingly control the microbial composition according to the current level of science is added to the results.
